Cisnădie (Heltau/Nagydisznód) is a small town 10km away from Sibiu, having as most important monument the fortified complex located in the town center. Dating back to the XII-th century, the original Romanesque church was upgraded by the native saxon population (saşi) in the XV-th century, to today's gothic Lutheran church, having as patron St.Walpurga. Fortified towers and defence walls were also added to protect against the Ottoman invasions.
The complex can be visited in exchange of an entrance fee, but unfortunately I got there a little late (after 6pm) and it was closed, so I'll just post some photos from the outside.
The location is on Google Earth, while more information can be found on wikipedia.
